Ayurveda Lifestyle Immersion
with Chitra Sukhu
Three-Day Residential Retreat
December 18-20, 2020
This three-day retreat follows the 200-hour Sampoorna Yoga Teacher Training Course. It is a perfect addition to your Yogic studies after completing your 200-hour Yoga Teacher Training to further your knowledge in Ayurveda for your own personal growth and health. This retreat is also open to students who have not taken the Yoga Teacher Training Course at Yogi Hari’s Ashram, and who would simply like to learn more about Ayurveda and their own body and mind.
Experience
Ayurveda and Yoga are sister sciences, complementary systems of study to help you to become more aware of your body, mind, and its intricacies and fluctuations. Ayurveda in Sanskrit means, “the Science of Life.” With this knowledge, you are able to understand the constitution of your body and your mind, and what practices, diet, and lifestyle are most beneficial to gain and maintain good health and peace of mind.
About the Teacher:
Chitra Sukhu
Chitra Sukhu, the daughter of Shri Yogi Hari and Leela Mata, grew up in the many Sivananda Ashrams scattered around the world, and since the age of three has practiced Yoga and meditation daily.
She is an experienced Yoga teacher, registered with The Yoga Alliance at the E-RYT 500 level. Chitra has a Diploma in Ayurvedic Sciences from Kerala Ayurveda and is an accomplished Indian classical dancer.
Chitra teaches and leads many retreats around the world for adults and children, and has “birthed” the organization, New Age Kids Inc. — a sincere effort to generate well-balanced individuals with a Sense of Self.
She has 10 Guided Meditation and 6 Mantra CDs to her name. Some of her CDs have become part of the Curriculum at schools. They have proven to reduce stress and confusion for children, propagating a healthy lifestyle, creativity, happiness, and success.
She has authored an acclaimed children’s book, “Elven Rhyme – Journey through Time” and a handbook for parents and teachers, “The Way of the Child.” Chitra is now a published playwright with her play “To My Amazement,” garnering praise from recent performances in Canada.
Chitra was the first to create the Yoga Teachers Training Course for Youth ages 16-21. Herein, young people can come together to learn more about Higher Consciousness and the Journey of the Self, while becoming Certified Yoga teachers.

- Away from the distractions of the home environment, everyday responsibilities, business, and appointments, you will be amazed by how focused and attentive your mind will be to absorb this knowledge.
- In Yogi Hari’s Ashram, you will live each moment of the program with awareness, bringing about growth and positive transformation.
- Located in sunny South Florida, Yogi Hari’s Ashram offers a peaceful, natural, and healing environment.
